WATER MEDIA ARTIST
MARILYNNE WASIELEWSKI
Few words about me
As an artist, Marilynne is most inspired by the shapes, colors and textures of her natural surroundings and the play of light on all she sees. Her work is based in reality, but painted in an expressionistic style. She is most interested in the creation process itself and works intuitively. This allows her to respond and make decisions about the direction of the work, with freedom and spontaniety. She works in a broad range of media, including water color, acrylic, collage, colored pencil, watercolor pencil, pen and ink, and acrylic and alcohol inks on substrates of paper, Yupo, Terraskin and canvas. She works in miniature, as well as small scale and full-size formats. Her hope is that you will enjoy her paintings as much as she does creating them..
Marilynne relocated to Tampa Bay, Florida from the New Jersey shore, after receiving her Bachelor's in Art/Education and has studied with nationally known artists, including Carla O'Connor, Stephen Quiller, Mary Alice Braukman, Mark Mahaffey, and Pat Dews.
